evolution of a painting.

i found these little bunny glosses at urban outfitters. i started with the light pink one, and was immediately drawn to the color and simple facial expression. when i decided to paint them, i had to find a few more. (i love repetition, especially in still life painting.) the thing i really dug about working with acrylics was the speedy drying time. each layer was added with thick, broad strokes that didn’t get lost or undefined as they sometimes do in my oil paintings. this painting, Bunny Gloss, is 40 x 30,“ acrylic on wood and available at ugallery.
